Relevant shipwrecks known in history:

\xb7 On November 28, 1596, 25 ships of the Spanish Navy sank in the middle of a terrible storm in front of the Corcubi\xf3n estuary, with the result of 1706 deaths.

\xb7 The Great Liverpool, known as "the little Titanic", sank in 1846. Its remains allow us to reconstruct what a trip was like on board one of the first regular liners in history.

\xb7 On September 6, 1870, the HMS Captain, prototype of a British warship, sank several miles from Cape Finisterre when the ship\'s tower collapsed on itself. More than 400 people perished due to the speed of the sinking.

\xb7 In 1875 John Tenat was shipwrecked at Punta Langosteira, Finisterre with sugar, coffee, skins and other products on board. There were no deaths.

\xb7 In 1890 the tragedy of HMS Serpent occurred in Punta do Boi, Camari\xf1as, where 172 English sailors died a few meters from salvation and only three were saved, one seriously injured.

\xb7 On February 3, 1897, in the cove of Arou, Camelle, the City of Agra was shipwrecked with 71 crew members and two passengers. They saved 32, many thanks to the neighbors of Camelle and Arou.

\xb7 On October 10, 1927, on the beach of Arou, Camelle, shipwrecked the Nil, a French freighter.

\xb7 The Boris Sheboldaeff, a Soviet tanker of 11,000 tons, ran aground and left in front of Camelle, on August 24, 1934. The crew was rescued in full.

\xb7 The Nord Atlantic, a German ship that tried to escape from the pursuit of allied aviation, ran aground on August 18, 1943, in the Camari\xf1as estuary.

\xb7 In May of 1953, in Cousi\xf1adoiro, Nemi\xf1a, the Arada shipwrecked, Spanish merchant boarded the next night by local "pirates" taking advantage of the abandonment of the ship.

\xb7 In July 1964, nine miles from Cape Finisterre, the Bonifaz sank, after the collision with another oil tanker, the Fabiola, which caused sparks to jump, and the tanks full of gas began to explode. Five bodies were rescued but most of the bodies never appeared, so 20 crew members were reported missing.

\xb7 In November 1965, in El Corno, Camari\xf1as, the Banora sank. The neighbors of Mux\xeda (A Coru\xf1a) helped their crew. The solidarity was fruitful: the Moroccan Banora planted the area with some 12 million oranges.
